Comparisons between stainless steel vibrating feeder bowls and aluminum feeder bowls

Vibratory feeder bowls are grouped into stainless steel type and aluminum type. Comparisons of their advantages and disadvantages are as follows:

1. Application scope

   Stainless steel vibrating feeder bowls have wide application scope, They can handle most components with sizes of 2-60mm. Generally, aluminum feeder bowls are only suitable for components of sizes smaller than 20mm. The smaller the component is the more advantages the aluminum feeder bowls will have.

2. Feeding stability

   Since the track of aluminum vibratory feeder bowls is made through CNC precision machining, its feeding stability and reliability are much better than that of stainless steel. It can keep all the way and seldom needs after-sale service like maintenance, adjustment, etc, as long as the condition of delivery is good.

3. Noise in operation

   The noise in operation of aluminum bowl feeders is much lower than stainless steel bowl feeders.

4. Abradability

   The surface of aluminum vibratory feeder bowls has strong abradability through hardening treatment, while the surface of stainless steel will be abraded soon after being used and cause unstable feeding.

5. Production cost

   The production cost of aluminum feeder bowls is comparatively higher in single-piece production process but almost the same in small-lot production process. Its cost is relatively lower in mass production process.

6. Date of delivery

    In general, it can be as fast as three to five days from placing an order to accomplishment of stainless steel vibratory feeder bowls. However, the development of first aluminum vibratory feeder bowl will need about 15 days containing designing, processing, surface treatment, etc. But once there is the first one, the subsequent production cycle of aluminum feeder bowls can be much shorter.
